Yes. Track Racer IO is completely free to play in your web browser, with no ads and no download required. Optional cosmetics, a season pass, and a premium currency called gems are available but are never required to compete on race times.

No. Track Racer IO is completely ad-free. There are no banner ads, no video ads, and no interruptions, just pure racing.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Track Racer IO runs directly in any modern browser that supports WebGL2 and WebAssembly. There is also an Android app in development.
How many tracks does Track Racer IO have?
There are 20 hand-built Neon City campaign maps across four difficulty tiers: 4 easy, 6 medium, 6 hard, and 4 expert. Browse the full track list.
What surfaces can I race on?
Five physics surfaces, from highest grip to lowest: asphalt, dirt, gravel, sand, and ice. Asphalt circuits are the default, and harder tracks add low-grip sections that reward drift and grip control. Learn how to drift.
Is there multiplayer or ranked play?
Multiplayer is asynchronous: you race against friend, country, and global ghost leaderboards, and join clubs and parties. There is no live wheel-to-wheel netcode. A ranked 1v1 time-attack mode is in development.
What are gems in Track Racer IO?
Gems are the premium currency, earned slowly from the season pass and daily-login rewards. Coins are the free currency earned by racing. Neither is required to be competitive on race times.
What are the controls?
On keyboard: W to accelerate, Space to brake, S to reverse, A and D to steer, Left Shift for the handbrake, E and Q to shift gears, R to respawn at the last checkpoint, and Shift+R to restart the run. A gamepad and touch controls are also supported. See the full controls guide.
